Alco Walls Achieves Achilles Level 5 Accreditation

Posted on 10th November 2011

Alco Wall Systems Limited has recently achieved the prominent Achilles BuildingConfidence Level 5 accreditation.
The Achilles BuildingConfidence scheme is quickly becoming recognised as the standard for supplier excellence within the industry and is being adopted by many main contractors. Achilles developed the BuildingConfidence accreditation working in partnership with Bovis Lend Lease as a collaborative supply chain accreditation standard designed for the construction industry, providing an effective solution for managing supply chain risk in the areas of safety, sustainability, CSR, quality and financial stability.

Balfour Beatty, British Land, Costain, Davis Langdon, Kier Group, Lend Lease, Mace, Shepherd Construction, Simons Construction, Sir Robert McAlpine, Sisk, Skanska, Swift Horsman, Tarmac and Wolseley are all using BuildingConfidence to reduce supply chain risk, drive continuous improvement and reduce the costs of accreditation for the industry through a common shared process.
Successfully completing both the PQQ and stringent 2-day onsite audit to achieve the accreditation reiterates Alco Wall’s dedication to providing quality products and services as well as our compliance and commitment to our customers’ increasing demands regarding health and safety, environmental and corporate governance.

Mike Tingey, Alco Wall Systems’ Commercial Director said, ‘In achieving the Level 5 Achilles BuildingConfidence accreditation, it demonstrates our continued commitment to quality of service and working practices, recognising our objective of delivering excellence’.
