Project Update: Evolution, Stonegrove
Posted on 6th April 2010
Alco Glass is in the process of installing its unique “Wintergardens” to the top floors of the “Evolution” development currently under construction at Stonegrove, West London.
The project is part of an 11.5 Ha development in partnership with Barratt Homes and London Borough of Barnet and Mosaic Family. The project will provide 937 dwellings on completion.
Architects working with Alco Glass are Sprunt. See www.sprunt.net for more details.
The Glasmarte Top Roll 15/24 system is being used due to its ability to provide storey height toughened/laminated glass in a location where substantial wind-loads will occur.
The diffused glass panels are straight sliding and can be moved to any point along the balcony to provide additional privacy and protection from prevailing wind.
Alco Glass can supply and install a wide range of winter garden solutions. Everything from straight sliding or sliding stacking to part-height or full storey-height systems is available.
