Tuxford School Two Years On
Posted on 15th August 2009
As part of the ongoing work within the Nottinghamshire PFI Scheme, Alco Walls recently returned to the Tuxford School in Marnham Lane, Tuxford for a close inspection of its four NW 100 Acoustic Movable Walls.
Within the main Drama Wing Alco Walls installed three movable walls which give the opportunity of dividing the area into three, utilising a twin roller, t-connecting track system. A combination of twenty two, five metre in height panels can be easily arranged making the whole area very flexible. High end 57dB R’w NW 100 walls with two colour finish complement the environment for this large Drama Wing within the school.
On the first floor a dedicated area for exercise with a fully fitted gym is divided by a six panel, three metre high NW 100 wall. Once again optimum noise reduction was paramount for this area as the division of the room separates the gym from a usable classroom environment. The whole project was independently tested to ensure that performance levels reached Building Bulletin 93 Specifications.
